NEW RELEASE

ROSE' 2012

One peek at the weather forecast and we all know what that means - Rose" season is upon us. It is that time of year when our delectable Rose' makes a guest appearance.  Our Rose" ( from Pinot Noir) is made by removing the skins after pressing the fruit.  - producing a light salmon hued wine. Ideal for Spring and Summer sipping, this wine has fresh red fruit on the nose and the taste of plump, ripe fruit.

Lady Luck was on our side this week as the unpredictable temperature drop saw the Grim Reaper hovering over our vineyards!  It just didn't happen - frost was avoided!  We can expect an abundant crop at the wine farm this year (of course we still have sevder rain and hail to look out for) Let's hope 2013 becomes the year of the Vinifera...  Stop by the wine farm this week and enjoy a beautiful spring day on our patio.  Friday we welcome Leon & The Reckless Allstars, Saturday it is the fun of Blue Lunch and on Sunday some down home blues of Chasin' The Blues. (3 to 6)  If weather permits, we will be on the patio.  See you at the farm.  Be sure to taste the new release Rose' on your next visit.

SAVE THE DATE!

SUNDAY, MAY 26 - 3 TO 6PM

50 IS THE NEW FABULOUS

It is a 50th Birthday celebration for Patty (always hidden away in the kitchen!)  She has chosen Terry Lee Goffee to entertain.  Mr. Goffee is a Johnny Cash tribute artist and performes an amazing show.  Just a big silly over the top day!  Fifty is the new fabulous.  Food for this fun filled afternoon will be provided by Briquettes of Ashtabula Harbor.  No gifts please.......  Just stop by the farm and enjoy a fun afternoon!

Consumers say they want locally grown food.  Since wine IS food, there is something to talk about here.  Numerous consumer surveys have suggested that we want it fresh and we want it local.  We are becoming more aware of where our food comes from and how it is grown.  The findings suggest we are willing to travel a bit for it, maybe pay a few cents more and purchase these pure products from a specific place.  All of that data screams Harpersfield Wine!!!  All estate grown fruit, very clean vineyard practices (no pesticides - no herbicides) and hand picked fruit - all of that creates a bottle of wine that is the very definition of fresh and local.  .
